KINDLE APP CAMPAIGN

An inspired and innovative campaign: â€˜Your stories are always with you’

Challenge

I was asked to lead the design for a campaign showcasing the Kindle app's key value: access to books on any device. The objective was to drive more Kindle app downloads.

Solution

The campaign, "Your stories are always with you," featured characters from literature (vikings, zombies, superheroes) alongside people reading in everyday situations. It was promoted through videos and placements on Facebook, Yahoo, MSN, and other ad partners.

Results

The campaign saw high engagement, with 50% of users watching at least half of the video—65% above average. Over 25% watched the full video, and more than 3% clicked through to the App Store, leading to 10x more downloads than static ads. Kindle extended the campaign for another year.

Due to the success of the campaign, Kindle extended the campaign another year.
